Fun at Aunt Sarah's
Dave's kids and I gathered at Eric and Sarah's in October. We had a wonderful time. We played in the leaves, baked apple crisp and monster cookies and went Trick or treating at the zoo. Here are all the kids looking through a playhouse window. Little Josiah was so much fun and really enjoyed his cousins.
Thanksgiving
Didn't we have fun at aunt Sarah's and uncle Eric's. Grandpa and I are so looking forward to Thanksgiving. Today I am making cinnamon rolls for one of our breakfast times. I am putting games, books etc in a basket to bring. Is there any requests of anything that you want me to bring? 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-1-12-days until we are all together.

Fall Collage
Hey Emily, Luke, Alise and Natalie remember when we were visiting you and we picked up all those helicopters. Well today my school children made fall collages and we glued them on a meat tray along with some real pretty leaves that I found. Didn't they turn out pretty? I thought you might like to see them. We had a fun visit to the pumpkin patch. Jonathan loved exploring it all. Isn't he cute in the scarecrow? He is at a very fun age and is excited about everything. He is starting to say words and like to say cracker and stand by the cupboard with the graham crackers in it.

Pumpkin Patch
Friday night Grandpa and I went with some friends to the Pumpkin Patch. We saw lots of Pumpkins and goats and lamas. I think we have taken each of you kids there. Do you remember? We had lots of fun. I got some pumpkins and goards and indian corn. We took a picture of the pumpkin really close up. Doesn't it look big? My favorite is the lama. After that we went to the Pizza Ranch for supper. It was a fun night.

Nice surprise
When I got home from the hospital I had just got settled on the couch and the door bell rang. Grandpa went to the door and there was this nice surprise. Attached to the balloon was a mug with a big bag of M and M's and a fun magazine to read. It was from the ladies I work with. Wasn't that nice. It really cheered me. Thank you for telling me you hope I feel better. I do. Today, Thursday I am dressed and feel pretty close to normal. I am so thankful to God for a wonderful body that knows how to heal if you just give it a little time. We are wonderfully made. I miss you all soooooo much. Love, Grandma

Movie Night
We are beginnning our AWANA Club this coming Wed. We decided to start with a just for fun movie night. I had the hard task of finding a movie. I watched and rejected several and then I remembered Emily that we watched this movie with you once. I rented it and discovered it is the perfect movie for my movie night. Thanks Emily for introducing me to"Air Buddies" , you saved me!

School Time
Thought you might like to see my classroom all set up and ready to go. I am so excited to begin. I have some really cute kids. I am so glad I am not to old to go to school - ha. We have a zoo theme going in our room. Can you see the tree I made? Becky helped me. I think it is cool. Grandpa and I are praying for all of you and we love you.

School Time
Emily, Alise and Luke, this year you will be going to school in Chicago. I would think it would be a little exciting and alot scary!!! Your Grandpa and I will be thinking about you and praying for you on that day. We are praying that you will like your teachers, that after a few days you will find some friends, that you won't be too scared, that you will fit in, that you will study hard, that you will let Jesus shine through you, and that some day you will say you really like school in Chicago. We are so proud of you all. You are great kids and I know your teachers will really like you. Remember this verse: Isaiah 41:13 "For I am the Lord your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear: I will help you" Imagine God holding your hand as you go to Peterson Elementary, Grandpa and I will be picturing the same thing. We love you. Go get 'em.

Chicago
In one short week we will see you at your new home, Chicago. Doesn't that sound funny. We will start to make new memories. Going To Camp
Some of my very best memories are of camp. I loved it when I was a girl. My camp wasn't real fancy be we sure had a lot of fun. Of of my best memories was a friend I made at camp that couldn't walk because of polio. We pulled her all over in a red wagon. She could however really swim. They would set her on the edge of the diving board and she would dive in. The other great thing about camp was that it was there I made a decision to follow Christ with my whole heart my whole life. That was the best decision I ever made. Grandpa and I will be praying for you Emily and Alise as you head off to camp. Have a great time.

New Tooth
Emily lost her tooth while at Grandma and Grandpa Ostercamps. Here is a picture of the tooth along with a note to the fairy to return her tooth. She has plans to also try out the Minnesota Tooth Fairy. (Smart girl) The next picture is of Emily with her gift from the generous Iowa Tooth Fairy. She spent one of the dollars at the swimming pool for an ice cream sandwhich today.

A visit from the Ostercamp Kids
Zoo Trip
Today I am thinking about our trip to the Zoo. We really had a fun day didn't we. I thought I'd put up some pictures of our favorite spot, the bird cage. It was fun to get the sticks coated with seeds and watch they birds come to us. I didn't get a piture of Natalie because I think the birds kind of scared her when they got up close. When they flew the startled her. Thanks for spending the time with us, Grandpa and I really had a good time with you.

A visit from Jonathan
Jonathan visited recently. It was really fun to have him here. He came with his mom and dad. He is walking now and is so fun to watch. He is anxious to see all his cousins and I know you all will have lots of fun with him. Below is a picture of him and grandpa. We gave him the little flag because it was Memorial Day. Hi Emily, Alise, Luke, Natalie, Jonathan and Josiah. This is Grandma Pizza, sometimes known as Grandma O. I am starting this blog for you.
